The right care for your heating
Different systems.
The same attention.
A boiler, a hot-water cylinder and a heat pump each have their own maintenance needs. Tell Oliver what you have so the right service can be arranged.
Boiler servicing
Routine servicing helps keep your boiler operating safely and efficiently. The visit follows the appliance manufacturer’s requirements, with relevant inspection, cleaning and operating checks.
For combi, system and regular boilers. Share the make, model and fuel type when you enquire.
Oil boiler servicing
Oil boilers need regular attention to their burner and combustion components. Servicing can include cleaning, checking operation and assessing combustion, according to the particular appliance.
Mention any oil tank concerns or changes in how your heating runs when arranging the visit.
Hot-water cylinder care
If your home has a hot-water cylinder, it may need maintenance in addition to your boiler. Unvented cylinders have safety controls and expansion arrangements that require their own checks.
Cylinder servicing is a separate requirement; ask to have it included in your enquiry.
Air source heat pump care
Heat pumps need maintenance too. The appropriate checks depend on the model and installation, and may cover the outdoor unit, water circuit, filters and controls.
Send the make and model so Oliver can confirm support and the scope of the visit.
Not sure which system you have? Send a photo of the appliance and its label, there’s no need to remove any covers.

More than a date in the diary
Give your heating
the attention it needs.
- Check how it’s operating.Relevant safety and performance checks help assess the condition of the appliance.
- Stay on top of maintenance.Inspection and cleaning, where required, help address the build-up and wear that come with everyday use.
- Understand what comes next.A service can identify issues that need further attention. It cannot guarantee that a system will never break down.
The exact checklist depends on your appliance. Replacement parts, repairs and wider system work should be agreed separately.

Good questions
A little clarity.
A lot less jargon.
Not sure what to book? Oliver can help you work out the right next step.
How often should my boiler be serviced?
Boilers generally need servicing annually. Follow the schedule in your manufacturer’s instructions and check any warranty or guarantee conditions. Regular servicing is often a condition of that cover, so keep your service records.
Does a boiler service cover the whole heating system?
Not automatically. A boiler service focuses on the appliance and its required checks. Radiators, underfloor heating, system cleaning and separate hot-water cylinders may need additional work. Mention any concerns when enquiring so the scope is clear.
Do cylinders and heat pumps need servicing too?
Yes, they have their own maintenance requirements. The schedule and checks depend on the manufacturer and model. Tell Oliver about every appliance you want checked, including any separate cylinder, so he can confirm what can be included.
Will a service fix a fault?
A service may uncover a problem, but it is not a substitute for fault diagnosis or a repair. If your heating has stopped working or you have a recurring issue, explain the symptoms before arranging the visit.
What should I have ready?
Your postcode, appliance make and model, fuel type and last service date are useful. Have the manual and service record available if you can, and clear access around the equipment. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the details.
How much will it cost?
The price depends on the appliance and what needs to be included. Contact Oliver with your system details for a quote. Mention any faults or additional appliances so these can be considered before you agree the visit.
